About the Opportunity

360°kids currently has an exciting opportunity for both a Senior Housing Manager and a Senior Community Services Manager to join our team in Markham, Ontario on a full-time basis. This role will see you working occasionally from home during the current pandemic, with on-site visits depending on COVID-19 restrictions. Once the pandemic subsides, you will be required to operate from our flexible workplace with more frequent travel across the York Region.

The Senior Housing Manager will plan, lead, execute, and manage the Residential, Hub, Community Housing and HOPE programs while the Senior Community Services Manager will cover the same responsibilities for our Employment and Community Supports programs. 

In accordance with your own expertise and best practice as well as regulatory requirements, 360°kids' policies, and the objectives of the organization, you will be responsible for the execution and fulfillment of program plans, program evaluation and managing accountability to funders. Your overall key mission will be to ensure excellent delivery of the 360°kids housing or community programs, through sound and effective social service management. 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead, supervise and mentor the Program Managers while working towards operational success, development and growth of programs. While building a strong team for service delivery, you will also evaluate, oversee and provide staff development and training. 

This strategic role will see you develop, direct, and implement approved strategies and plans that will enable you to make a tangible impact as you work to improve the lives of others. While you will be supported by the COO and Senior Management team you certainly won't be micro-managed which means you can utilize your experience and skills to build something new and realize your vision for successful program delivery.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying sector trends and working closely with the COO and Management team to address service gaps.
  • Ensuring program plans and processes are in place for each program area and staff are oriented to their respective plan.
  • Verifying that programs and activities are fulfilling the approved strategic plan of 360°kids and are compliant with applicable standards and laws.
  • Communicating issues and concerns to COO.
  • Ensuring that appropriate policies, procedures, and methods are being used.
  • Collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders in the creation and facilitation of effective partnerships for 360°kids.
  • Representing the organization in the external community, including sitting on committees, task forces and councils, government and regulatory agencies.
  • Forging relationships with funders, service providers and other organizations to address program gaps and to strengthen service delivery.
  • Assuming accountability for sound financial management and appropriate controls of the respective Program budgets.
  • In conjunction with the Programs Managers, submitting annual operating budgets to the funder and/or the Board of Directors while respecting the needs of both the program and 360°kids.
  • Improving financial performance by monitoring the program’s finances and the development and implementation of action plans as well as supporting fund-raising.
  • Managing reporting submissions to funders for managed programs.

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree, diploma or Master’s degree in Social Work or a Child/Youth related field (e.g. Child and Youth, Social Service Worker, Social Worker, Psychology, Sociology) along with at least 6 years of management experience preferably in a not-for-profit environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. You'll also join us with a current First Aid/CPR certification, as well as a vehicle, a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and $2M liability insurance. Experience working with youth and individuals through trauma from a mental health perspective as well as experience working collaboratively with families within a mental health setting will be considered strong assets.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check. The role also requires participating in the 360°kids’ on-call rotation to provide support for staff and program operations that may be held after working hours in emergency situations.

About the Benefits
